"Something To Be Desired" by SCOTT CAMERON AND THE WESTERN DREAM on FIELDSTONE RECORDS SCOTT CAMERON & THE WESTERN DREAM came together in 1998 and quickly became one of the best country bands on the high plains. Led by Scotts powerful lead vocals, their blend of traditional acoustic-based country and modern rock-influenced music proved to be popular with audiences throughout their home base in Western Kansas. Now they take a major step forward with the release of their first CD. Something To Be Desired, produced and mixed by Western Dream guitarist Mike Ferguson, was recorded in late 2000 and early 2001 at Cloud Nine Studio in La Crosse Kansas and features ten songs, nine of which were written or co-written by Western Dream multi-instrumentalist Mike Benish. Anchored by Rick Carters dynamic drumming and showcasing Randy Sauers pedal steel and Jeff Wagoners piano, the CD offers a wide variety of music, from the acoustic guitar that kicks off the opening track (and first single), Its Gonna Have To Rain, to the plaintive ballad Nobody Left To Save, the good humored fun of The Least I Could Do and Good For The Goose, and the hard driving final track As Far As The Fenceline. Something To Be Desired is available in retail outlets now.
